Passing the DVSA theory and hazard perception test will require a great deal of work from the pupil, he or she will need to take responsibility upon themselves to learn what is required. We also offer all of our students free unlimited access to Theory Test Pro, a comprehensive online learning tool and smart phone app that will help with your learning. The test itself consists of 50 multiple choice questions will last for 57 minutes and you will need to score 43 out of 50 to pass the test. Some of the test questions will be given as a case study; which will show a short story that 5 of the questions will be based on, and will be focussed on real life experiences that may be encountered when you're driving. The Highway Code

You will also be required to have a good working knowledge of the Highway Code, this can be accessed online by clicking the following link in "quotes" "Click Here to access the Highway code online". There are also a number of books that may be useful as a point of reference for those that prefer to learn in a more traditional way.

Theory Test Pro

Hazard Perception Test

The DVSA hazard percepion test is a test of your ability to deal with various potentially hazardous situations that you might encounter whilst driving. Until December of 2014 the test comprised of "real video clips". However, the test now uses "CGI" (Compter Generated Images). The way that the test works however has not changed. It still consists of 14 clips containing at least 1 developing hazard, but 1 of the clips will contain 2. the pass mark has also stayed the same, and you will need to score 44 out of the possible 75 points to pass this part of the test.
