Passing our driving test will be the most life changing event that many of us will ever experience, giving us the freedom to go where we want, when we want. That is why Birchington School of Motoring is very careful to ensure that each student is taught at their own pace, using a lesson plan that is tailored exactly to their needs, by a knowledgable and friendly ADI (approved driving instructor).
In June 8 of 2015, the paper counterpart that used to be issued with your driving licence became invalid, as a result of that it is now necessary for you to share your driving licence with your instructor before you can take your first driving lesson. This is quite a simple process and can be carried out online by visiting the.gov.uk website. Before you can share your licence details you will need your driving licence number, your National Insurance number and your post code. Maybe you have a full and valid driving licence but have not driven for quite some time, and because of a change of circmstances now need to get back in front of the wheel. If that is the case then you need to take a "driving refresher course" to make sure that your driving skills are up to date, and to give you the confidence to take to the road on your own. Your driving instructor will soon have you up and running again, armed with the confidence and skills that you will need to be a safe and competent driver! To book an intensive driving course you will need to call us well in advance to discuss your needs, so we can offer help and advice with your theory test, and also to give us plenty of time to organise our diary. If your course is booked well in advance we will also give you access to "Theory Test Pro" to help you prepare for your theory and hazard perception test.
Intensive or semi-intensive driving courses are ideal for those with busy schedules, that find it easier to take a week or two off work rather than taking a couple of hours each week. They are also ideal for those that need to pass their test in a hurry for whatever reason. Despite the fact that your learning is condensed into a shorter period of time, we ensure that you gain all of the relevant skills and knowledge to make sure that you continually develop your driving skills beyond passing your driving test. We achieve this by adopting the same client centred, and progressive style of teaching, that is both guided, and driven by the student.
